What Is a Sensory Session?

One of the most common reactions we hear when people first discover our sensory sessions at The Salted Pixie is:

“…Wait. What exactly is that?”

And honestly? It can be a little difficult to explain because sensory sessions are less about “doing” something and more about creating an experience that helps people finally soften, settle, and feel cared for.

At their core, sensory sessions are restorative nervous system support experiences designed around calming sensory input, intentional rest, and safe, comforting touch.

They were created for people who are overwhelmed, overstimulated, touch-starved, emotionally exhausted, anxious, burned out, or simply craving a moment where they do not have to hold everything together for everyone else.

So What Happens During a Sensory Session?

During a sensory session, guests relax comfortably in our salt cave while gentle sensory experiences are used to help encourage relaxation and nervous system regulation.

Depending on the session, this may include:

  • Hair play

  • Scalp and head rubs

  • Light touch on the back and shoulders

  • Cozy blankets

  • Grounding sensory tools

  • Warmth and comforting atmosphere

  • Deep rest in the salt cave environment

Many people describe the experience as feeling deeply nurturing, calming, grounding, or emotionally safe.

And for some people, it’s the first time in a very long time that they’ve allowed themselves to simply receive care without needing to perform, achieve, multitask, or take care of someone else first.

Why Do Sensory Sessions Feel So Emotional for People?

Humans are wired for co-regulation and safe connection.

But modern life leaves many people chronically overstimulated while simultaneously disconnected from meaningful rest, community, and safe physical comfort.

A lot of adults — especially women and caregivers — spend most of their lives giving care rather than receiving it.

So when someone enters a quiet, calming environment where they are finally allowed to simply exist without pressure, the nervous system often responds immediately.

Sometimes people fall asleep.
Sometimes people cry unexpectedly.
Sometimes people laugh because they realize how tense they’ve been.

Are Sensory Sessions Massage?

No. Sensory sessions are not massage therapy and are not intended to replace medical or therapeutic care.

The focus is not deep tissue work or muscle manipulation. The focus is intentional sensory comfort, relaxation, nervous system support, and creating a restorative environment where the body can finally slow down for awhile.

Why We Created Sensory Sessions at The Salted Pixie

At The Salted Pixie, we believe rest should feel accessible, comforting, and human.

We created sensory sessions because we noticed how many people were carrying invisible exhaustion — constantly overstimulated, emotionally overwhelmed, touch-starved, anxious, and disconnected from their own bodies.

So many people are surviving, but very few feel genuinely cared for.

Sensory sessions were designed to help create that feeling: safe, grounded, nurtured, and able to exhale.

Not because anyone is “broken,” but because human beings were never meant to function without softness, connection, comfort, and rest for this long.

A Different Kind of Self-Care

For many people, self-care has become another task to complete or another aesthetic to perform online.

But real restoration often looks quieter than that.

Sometimes it looks like:

  • slowing your breathing

  • allowing your nervous system to soften

  • being cared for gently

  • giving your body permission to stop bracing for awhile

Why burn out can lead to struggling to relax

There’s a strange moment that happens for many women when they finally get a chance to rest.

The house is quiet. The responsibilities pause for a second. Nobody needs anything immediately. There’s finally time to sit down, breathe, or take care of themselves… and instead of feeling relaxed, they feel restless, anxious, guilty, overstimulated, or emotionally exhausted.

Sometimes they even feel worse.

At The Salted Pixie, we see this all the time. People walk in saying things like:

“I don’t know how to slow down.”

“I’m bad at relaxing.”

“My brain never shuts off.”

“I feel like I should be doing something.”

And honestly? Many women have spent so long living in survival mode that rest no longer feels natural to their nervous systems.

Burnout Doesn’t Always Look Dramatic

When people think about burnout, they often picture complete collapse, crying on the kitchen floor, quitting jobs, emotional breakdowns.

But burnout is often quieter than that.

Sometimes it looks like:

- Feeling tired all the time but unable to rest

- Doom scrolling for hours while still feeling mentally overstimulated

- Constant irritability or emotional numbness

- Feeling guilty while relaxing

- Struggling to focus

- Feeling “lazy” even while overwhelmed

- Never fully feeling recovered after sleep

- Wanting comfort while simultaneously feeling unable to receive it

Many women are carrying invisible mental loads every single day. Work. Children. Relationships. Emotional labor. Caregiving. Scheduling. Cleaning. Managing other people’s feelings. Being available constantly.

The nervous system adapts to that level of stress over time.

And eventually, slowing down can start to feel unfamiliar, or even unsafe.

Your Nervous System Wasn’t Designed to Stay Activated Constantly

Human bodies are meant to move between activation and rest naturally.

But modern life makes that difficult.

Phones, notifications, constant stimulation, stress, bad sleep, financial pressure, social media, endless information, and emotional overload can leave people stuck in a chronic state of nervous system activation.

That can show up physically as:

- Tight shoulders or jaw tension

- Headaches

- Digestive issues

- Fatigue

- Anxiety

- Trouble sleeping

- Shallow breathing

- Feeling “wired and tired” at the same time

For many women, rest stops feeling restorative because the body never fully leaves stress mode long enough to settle.

That’s one reason spaces intentionally designed for nervous system regulation can feel so emotional for people. Sometimes the body realizes it’s safe enough to soften for the first time in a very long time.

Why “Doing Nothing” Feels So Hard

Many people aren’t actually resting when they try to rest.

They’re distracting themselves.

There’s a difference.

Distraction often still keeps the nervous system stimulated:

- endless scrolling

- multitasking

- background noise constantly playing

- consuming content nonstop

- switching rapidly between tasks

Actual restorative rest usually involves slower sensory input, intentional stillness, deeper breathing, safety, comfort, and allowing the body to stop performing for awhile.

And for many women, that can feel deeply uncomfortable at first.

Not because they’re failing at rest, but because their nervous systems have adapted to functioning in chaos.

The Importance of Spaces That Let You Exhale

This is one of the reasons places like the Salted Pixie feel so powerful.

Not because they “fix” people.

But because they create environments where the nervous system finally gets permission to soften.

At The Salted Pixie, we’ve watched people physically unclench during sessions. We’ve watched shoulders drop. Breathing deepen. Tears happen unexpectedly. Laughter return. Exhausted people finally nap.

You Don’t Have to Earn Rest

One of the saddest things burnout teaches people is that they must earn care, softness, or stillness through productivity first.

But rest is not a reward for running yourself into the ground.

Your body is not a machine.

And learning how to slow down again is not weakness. It’s a skill many people are having to relearn intentionally in a world that constantly pushes overstimulation and exhaustion as normal.

Sometimes healing starts with something very simple:

a deep breath, a quiet room, a nervous system finally feeling safe enough to settle, or one hour where nobody needs anything from you.

And sometimes, that matters more than people realize.

Does Salt Therapy Help Allergies?

If you live in Northeastern Pennsylvania, you already know allergy season here can feel relentless. One day it’s warm and sunny, the next it’s cold and raining, and somehow the pollen count is still trying to personally ruin your life. Add in damp weather, shifting temperatures, mold, dust, and sinus pressure, and many people spend a good part of the year congested, exhausted, coughing, or feeling like they can never fully breathe deeply.

One of the most common questions we get at The Salted Pixie is:

“Does salt therapy actually help allergies?”

Simply: yes.

What Is Salt Therapy?

Salt therapy, also called halotherapy, involves relaxing in a room where pharmaceutical-grade salt is dispersed into the air in microscopic particles. At The Salted Pixie, our salt cave was intentionally designed to feel calming and restorative while also providing true dry salt therapy through a professional halogenerator system.

During a session, the tiny salt particles are inhaled into the respiratory system where they may help support the body by:

- Breaking up mucus and congestion

- Supporting clearer breathing

- Helping reduce inflammation in airways

- Supporting sinus drainage

- Creating an environment that feels soothing for irritated respiratory systems

Many people also report that the experience itself helps them slow down, breathe more intentionally, and relax their nervous systems, which can be especially supportive when your body feels run down or inflamed.

Why Allergy Season Feels So Intense in Pennsylvania

Northeastern Pennsylvania weather changes constantly, and those shifts can be rough on the body. Damp weather, pollen spikes, mold, sudden temperature changes, and indoor heating or air conditioning can all contribute to:

- Congestion

- Sinus pressure

- Itchy eyes

- Postnasal drip

- Headaches

- Coughing

- Fatigue

- Feeling “foggy” or rundown

For many people, allergy season doesn’t just stay in the nose and sinuses. It affects sleep, stress levels, energy, and overall well-being.

What Does Salt Therapy Feel Like?

Most people are surprised by how relaxing salt therapy actually feels. Sessions at The Salted Pixie are designed to be quiet, calming, and restorative. Guests relax in zero-gravity recliners or hammock swings, or utilize pillows and blankets to rest right in the salt. You're surrounded by glowing salt lamps, soft lighting, and walls lined with pink Himalayan salt.

Some people meditate. Some nap. Some simply sit still for one of the only quiet moments they’ve had all week.

It’s common to notice:

- Easier breathing afterward

- Increased drainage or coughing after sessions

- A feeling of “clearing out”

- Relaxation or reduced stress

- Better sleep that evening

And honestly, sometimes people simply leave saying:

“I didn’t realize how much I needed that.”

Does Salt Therapy Work Immediately?

For some people, yes. Others notice more benefit with consistency over time, especially during heavy allergy seasons. Much like other wellness practices, regular sessions tend to provide the most noticeable support.

Some guests come weekly during allergy season, while others visit when they feel particularly congested, overwhelmed, or run down.

A Space to Breathe Again

At The Salted Pixie, we believe wellness should feel approachable, comforting, and human. Salt therapy isn’t about perfection or quick fixes. It’s about creating space for your body to slow down, breathe deeply, and receive support in a world that often keeps us overstimulated and exhausted.

The Archetypes I Embody in My Work

The Archetypes I Embody in My Work

The deeper energies that move through what I offer at The Pixie

I don’t talk about myself very often.

Not because I don’t care about the work that I do, but because I’ve always had a hard time promoting it without feeling like I’m taking up too much space. But part of my journey over the last few years has been learning how to really accept where my gifts lie. Not just privately or quietly, but in a way that allows me to honor them. Because I do believe our gifts are meant to be shared—not forced, not performed, but offered to the people who are looking for exactly what we carry.

And if you’ve ever taken a class with me—especially anything around archetypes or my “walking with” series—you probably already know that I don’t work with deities in a super strict or traditional way. I work with them as archetypes. As energies. As mirrors. As living forces we can embody.

Because to me, embodiment is bigger than just understanding something intellectually. It’s deeper than reading about it, deeper than admiring it, and deeper than trying to “act like” something. Embodiment is when something lives in your body so fully that you stop reaching for it and realize… it’s already there.

And whether someone sees deities as literal beings, sacred stories, energetic forces, or archetypal mirrors doesn’t matter. It works with all paths. If an energy keeps showing up, there’s usually a reason. If you keep seeing the same themes, the same symbols, the same stories, the same names… it usually means something. Energy comes in because it’s needed. Because it has something to teach. Because it has something to awaken.

And recently, I had one of those moments where something just clicked.

The Moment It Clicked

I was in the salt cave doing a sensory session.

These sessions are not meant to push you somewhere you’re not ready to go. They are not meant to trigger you. They are not meant to crack you open or force some huge emotional breakthrough. They are meant to let you soften. They are meant to let your body feel safe enough to exhale.

When I’m in a sensory session with you, I’m not sitting there trying to do something dramatic. I’m literally just there with you—gently rubbing your head, moving slowly, holding your energy softly with mine. Most of the time, I’m quietly repeating affirmations over you in my mind: that you are safe, that you are beautiful, that you are cared for, that you are allowed to rest, that you are worthy of tenderness.

I really just want it to feel like this beautiful experience, like you’ve walked into this cave and there is someone tending to you with reverence and care because you deserve that. Because that kind of care is necessary, because it is truly an honor to hold that kind of space for someone. And recently, in one of these sessions, I was with a woman who had this gorgeous, thick, curly hair and the softest, warmest energy. She felt like a subtle breeze the minute she walked into the shop. While I was with her, I realized how deeply embodied I felt in what I was doing.

There was no second-guessing, no trying, no hiding behind humor. I was just fully in it. There was this feeling that came over me—like I was tapping into something old, something remembered. Almost like I wasn’t entirely in this time. Like I had done this kind of tending before, somewhere beyond this life, and was rediscovering it through the work I do now. I was moving in and out of that awareness, there was this little nudge in the back of my intuition and consciousness, like someone gently tapping to get my attention.

For a second, I found myself wondering, okay… who is that?

And then I nearly laughed out loud.

Because I’m sitting in a salt cave full of glowing orange light, surrounded by lamps that look like little hearth fires. There are candles in the cave that sometimes seem to turn on entirely on their own. The whole space already feels like it’s carrying that kind of warmth.

Of course it was Brigid.

Brigid is often associated with the hearth, healing, inspiration, and sacred tending—so when I realized her energy was showing up there, it made perfect sense.

And it made me realize something really clearly: this is exactly how I want those sessions to feel.

Like you are in a warm, soft, safe cave with fire glowing around you, being tended to with reverence and care. Like you are being held the way something sacred should be held. Because you are. Because that kind of care is necessary. Because so many of us move through life without ever being truly, gently tended to.

And because I am genuinely honored every single time someone trusts me enough to let me hold them in that way and in that kind of space.

That’s what those sessions are to me. They are not about performance. They are not about intensity. They are not about fixing you. They are about sacred care. They are about tenderness. They are about the kind of energy that reminds you your body deserves to feel safe. And once I realized that, it made me start thinking about where else these energies live in my work and in my life.

And I thought it would be kind of fun—but also kind of meaningful—to share where I feel them showing up the most.

The Archetypes in My Work

Brigid — The Hearthkeeper

sensory sessions, nervous system tending, sacred teaching

This is the energy I feel most strongly in my sensory resets and one-on-one tending work.

Warmth, devotion, softness, and the sacredness of care.

This is not flashy healing. It is quiet, intentional, and grounded. It is the kind of care that says, you do not have to brace here.

And the more I’ve sat with Brigid, the more I’ve realized she also shows up in the way I teach.

Because Brigid is not just hearth and tending to me—she is also inspiration, wisdom, and illumination. The kind of knowing that gently lights something up inside of you.

And that is exactly how I want my teaching to feel too.

Not overwhelming. Not gatekept. Not heavy.

Just like someone gently handing you a flame and saying, here—this might help you see yourself more clearly.

The Morrígan — The One Who Calls You Forward

full moon ceremonies, release work, truth, sovereignty

My full moon ceremonies hold a very different energy.

They are bigger, wilder, and more honest.

This is where I feel The Morrígan.

Not in a chaotic or fear-based way, but in that sacred, sovereign way where something inside of you says, I’m done carrying this.

This is the work of release. Of shouting. Of stomping. Of moving what has gotten stuck in your body. Of letting yourself physically, emotionally, and energetically let go.

To me, The Morrígan is not destruction for the sake of destruction.

She is truth.

The kind of truth that sets you free.

Rhiannon — The Sovereign Guide

new moon work, retreats, becoming, threshold crossing

There is something in me that comes fully alive during retreats.

And honestly, if you’ve ever been to one of them, you probably know exactly what I mean.

There is something mystical about stepping outside of your normal life and into a space that has been created with intention. A space where you can actually hear yourself again.

That is where I feel Rhiannon most strongly.

Because Rhiannon, to me, feels like threshold energy.

She doesn’t rush. She doesn’t force. She walks beside.

She opens the gate and invites you into the next version of yourself.

That is what retreats feel like to me.

Not like escaping your life.

But like remembering yourself more clearly.

Freyja — The Mirror

readings, intuitive sessions, self-worth, honest reflection

There is a certain energy that comes through in readings that is different from my sensory work and different from ceremony.

It is still loving, but it is sharper, more revealing, and more direct.

This is where I feel Freyja.

Because Freyja, to me, is not just softness or beauty.

She is depth. She is power. She is the kind of love that tells the truth.

This is the work where we look at patterns, stories, and what is underneath the surface.

And it’s never about judgment.

It’s about awareness.

Because you can’t shift something you refuse to see.

And there is something deeply sacred in being lovingly reflected back to yourself.

Cerridwen — The Cauldron

shadow work, transformation, the deeper work of becoming

There is a kind of work that is quieter, deeper, and not always comfortable—but incredibly important.

The kind where you sit with the parts of yourself that are unresolved, hidden, exiled, or waiting to be understood.

And this is where I feel the energy of Cerridwen.

Cerridwen is cauldron energy.

Transformation. Alchemy. The slow and sacred process of becoming something new.

Not by skipping over what is hard, but by sitting honestly with it long enough for it to change you.

This is the work I feel myself growing into more and more.

And it’s work I care deeply about holding in a way that is safe, grounded, and real.

So What Is It That I Actually Do Here?

There are practical answers to that question.

And then there’s the real one.

The practical answer is that I offer services, sessions, classes, ceremonies, and retreats inside a salt cave sanctuary.

The real answer is that I meet people in different ways depending on what they need.

Sometimes you need to be held.
Sometimes you need to release.
Sometimes you need to remember who you are.
Sometimes you need to tell the truth.
Sometimes you need to be witnessed.

And I think what I’m finally learning is that I’m allowed to say that clearly.

I’m allowed to name the kind of work I do. I’m allowed to acknowledge the gifts that live in me.

And maybe that’s part of the work too.

Not just tending to others—but tending to the truth of who you are.

If you’ve ever been curious about the deeper energy behind the work I offer here, this is a little glimpse into it.

And if you’ve ever sat with me in any capacity, you’ve probably already felt some of these energies for yourself.

You might even already know which one is calling you.

Whether you’re looking to clear congestion, support your respiratory system, or simply step into a space of stillness, a session in our Himalayan salt cave is the perfect way to begin.

What is Salt Therapy?

Salt therapy, or halotherapy, is the practice of breathing in micro-particles of salt in a controlled space. These tiny salt particles work to cleanse the airways, support immune function, and promote a sense of ease in the body.

✨ Why do people love it?
💨 Opens the lungs & clears mucus buildup
🌿 Reduces inflammation in the respiratory system
🌊 Naturally antibacterial & supportive for skin health
😌 Deeply calming for the nervous system

Whether you struggle with seasonal allergies, sinus congestion, asthma, or stress, salt therapy is a gentle but powerful way to help your body reset.

Your First Session: What to Expect

Stepping into our salt cave is like stepping into another world. The air is crisp, infused with the natural essence of salt, and the warm glow of Himalayan salt walls invites you to slow down.

When you arrive:
🌿 We recommend coming a few minutes early to settle in and prepare for your session. The space is designed for deep relaxation—let yourself sink into it.

What to wear:
✨ Comfortable clothing—there’s no need to dress up. Some people prefer to go barefoot to fully experience the salt-covered floor beneath them.

During your session:
💨 Some people meditate, some read, some simply rest. However you choose to be here is exactly right.

✨ You may notice a light, salty taste on your lips or a slight tickle in your throat—this is the salt working to clear your system. Breathe it in. Let it do its work.

After your session:
🌬️ Many people leave feeling lighter, breathing deeper, and more at ease. You may find yourself taking fuller breaths for hours afterward. Some experience a natural clearing of the sinuses as their body continues to release.

🌿 We always encourage hydration after your session—think of it as rinsing out the old and making space for the new.

Creating a Routine: Why One Session is Just the Beginning

Salt therapy is most effective when it becomes part of your regular self-care practice. Just like exercise or meditation, the benefits build over time.

💨 First session: You’ll notice the immediate release and relaxation in your body.
🌊 A few sessions in: Your respiratory system begins to respond—clearer sinuses, less congestion, deeper breathing.
🌙 Consistent practice: Long-term benefits include better immunity, lower stress levels, and improved lung function.

You Are Allowed to Be Both a Masterpiece and a Work in Progress

We live in a world that tells us healing is a finish line, a destination to reach if only we work hard enough. Meditate more. Read this book. Do this ritual. Attend this workshop. Be better. And if you’re tired? If you can’t quite keep up with the ever-growing list of ways to fix yourself? Then maybe you’re not trying hard enough. Maybe you’re failing.

But here’s the truth: Healing is not proof that something is wrong with you.

There is a crew neck hanging in the shop—soft, comforting, a quiet reminder draped across my shoulders. You Are Allowed to Be Both a Masterpiece, is across the chest, and a Work in Progress—written on the sleeve. The words feel like something I should believe, something I should embody. And yet, some days, I don’t.

Because I work in healing. And sometimes, that makes it easy to forget that I, too, am still unfolding.

So many of the people who step through the doors of The Salted Pixie come seeking solace—some for their lungs, for the weight of breathlessness, for the relief that salt therapy brings. Others come with heavier burdens, the kind that settle deep in the bones, unseen but felt in every step. They come looking for healing, for something that will fill the quiet ache they carry. And so often, that ache whispers: I should be better by now. I should be more whole. I should have figured this out already.

You are not a broken thing waiting to be repaired. You are not lesser because you still ache in places that were hurt long ago. You are not behind, not failing, not lost. You are human. And that means you are both—whole and still unfolding, strong and still learning, a masterpiece and a work in progress.

The moon does not apologize for its phases. The tides do not question their ebb and flow. And yet, we expect ourselves to be steady, linear, complete—never in flux, never in need, never in process.

But you are allowed to be both. You are allowed to have days where you shine and days where you retreat. You are allowed to be proud of how far you’ve come while still tending to the places that need softness. You are allowed to rest, to breathe, to exist exactly as you are without justifying it to anyone.

So if you’ve been waiting for permission to simply be, here it is. Let yourself exhale. Let yourself take up space. Let yourself be both—the masterpiece and the work in progress, the light and the shadow, the unfolding and the already radiant.

Because healing was never about becoming someone else. It was always about coming home to yourself.

Moving beyond the shop, a hallway adorned with hanging flowers leads you toward something truly special—the sanctuary of the salt cave.

As you enter, the soft pink Himalayan salt beneath your feet shifts like sand, inviting you to ground. The walls, bathed in the warm radiance of salt lamps, surround you, while a forest mural stretches across one side, a visual gateway into another realm. Here, in this sacred space, you are invited to simply breathe.

Mindful breathing salt sessions are community-based, offering multiple benefits beyond relaxation:

  1. Accessibility & Affordability: Included in our unlimited salt therapy memberships, bundles, and self-guided healing courses, they provide the most budget-friendly way to experience the salt cave regularly.

  2. Connection & Shared Energy: These sessions foster connection, allowing you to meet like-minded individuals who are also on their healing journey, providing support and a sense of shared energy.

  3. Health & Wellness Benefits of Salt Therapy: Salt therapy is known to support respiratory health by clearing congestion, easing inflammation, and improving lung function. It also strengthens the immune system, reduces stress, promotes better sleep, and benefits skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Each session lasts 45 minutes and begins on the hour. As you settle into a lounge chair or hammock swing, wrapped in a cozy blanket, the pharmaceutical-grade salt in the air begins to work its magic. This air, rich in micro-particles of pure salt, gently moves through your airways, helping to clear congestion, support respiratory health, and ease inflammation. Salt therapy is known to aid conditions such as allergies, asthma, sinus infections, and skin concerns like eczema or psoriasis.

Beyond the physical, something deeper unfolds. The salt cave is a sanctuary of stillness, allowing your nervous system to shift into a state of relaxation. As you breathe mindfully, the tension in your chest and shoulders melts away, your thoughts slow, and your body realigns with a sense of peace. This is the essence of healing—not just the absence of illness, but the return to wholeness.

Through consistent visits, salt therapy can improve lung function, strengthen the immune system, reduce stress, and promote better sleep. It reminds us that healing does not always require force—sometimes, it is found in the simple act of showing up for ourselves, breathing deeply, and allowing the body to return to balance.

So, whether you're stepping through our doors for the first time or returning to deepen your journey, mindful breathing salt sessions offer you a chance to pause, connect, and restore.

What to Expect from a Salt Therapy Routine

The moment you step inside The Salted Pixie, the air shifts. The world outside—its noise, its weight—seems to soften within this space. The entrance to your journey begins here, in our magical little Pixie shop, where shelves are adorned with locally made treasures, items from women-owned businesses, tools for self-love, and objects for creating ritual in your everyday life. Crystals that hum with quiet energy, herbs hanging from the ceiling and the windows—all of it invites you to pause, to breathe, to feel a spark of something you may have forgotten.

Beyond the shop, a hallway beckons. Flowers dangle from the ceiling, their petals suspended mid-air, creating a transition—a threshold between the ordinary world and the realm of healing. As you move further, the light shifts, and if you turn, peering into the salt cave, a golden glow emerges—warm, welcoming, carrying the feeling of something almost sacred.

Then, there is the cave itself, a sanctuary of stillness and restoration. The ground beneath your feet is not solid floor, but the crystalline touch of pink Himalayan salt, cool and grounding. It shifts ever so slightly with your steps, like sand. The walls, too, shimmer with the same ancient salt, their gentle radiance reflecting the low light of salt lamps that bathe the room in hues of amber and rose.

A forest mural stretches across one wall, a gateway to somewhere both mythical and familiar, a space where the veil between worlds feels thin. Here, in this cocoon, there is nothing you need to do—only be. Hammock swings sway gently, inviting you to let go, to surrender to the rhythm of breath and stillness. Lounge chairs, soft blankets, and pillows offer a place to rest, to sink deeper into the present moment, to allow the salt-laden air to weave its quiet magic through your lungs and skin.

Your first session will be a moment of unwinding, a reintroduction to the simple yet profound act of stillness. As you settle in, the salt in the air begins its work—moving through your airways, opening, clearing, soothing. With each inhale, your body remembers. Stress begins to unravel, the tension held in your chest releases, and the quiet hum of your own heartbeat syncs with the gentle energy of the space. Over time, with each visit, the sensation deepens.

With consistent salt therapy, these effects build upon themselves—a gentle unraveling of held tension, a slow and steady restoration of breath, balance, and clarity. Many find that allergies become less severe, respiratory function improves, and chronic congestion eases. Skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis may show signs of relief as the minerals in the salt purify and nourish. Sleep may come easier, the nervous system soothed into a state of deep relaxation. The immune system strengthens, each session a reminder that healing does not always demand force—sometimes, it is found in the quiet, in the moments where we simply allow.

And so, each time you walk that flower-draped hallway, observe the soft glow of salt lamps, and step into the embrace of this sanctuary, you are not simply entering a space—you are returning to yourself. You are remembering the magic that breathes in stillness, the way healing happens in the quiet moments, the ones where the world falls away, and all that remains is the glow, the breath, and the whisper of salt.

To make salt therapy a sustainable part of your wellness routine, we offer several options to make it as accessible and affordable as possible. Our Salt Therapy Memberships provide regular sessions at a reduced rate, ensuring you can incorporate this healing practice into your life with ease. We also offer discounted packages for those who wish to commit to multiple sessions, allowing you to save while prioritizing your well-being. Additionally, keep an eye out for our seasonal promotions and special events, offering unique opportunities to experience the salt cave at an even lower cost.

Day of the Banshees: Embracing Release, Transformation, and the Power of Voice

November 1 marks the Day of the Banshees, a sacred day inviting us to honor the raw, powerful tradition of keening and the healing that comes from release. In Irish and Celtic mythology, the banshee, or “bean sídhe,” is a figure wrapped in mystery. Her cry—a haunting, grief-laden wail—was not meant to strike fear but to call for acknowledgment of the inevitable cycles of life and change. Her presence was both feared and revered, signaling a time of deep transformation.

This legend is deeply rooted in the ancient Irish tradition of keening, a vocal expression of mourning performed by women at funerals to release grief and hold space for those grieving. Keening was a sacred practice that went beyond individual sorrow; it was a shared, communal act that invited others to embrace their own grief and emotions in the open. These cries of release weren’t just about mourning loss but about clearing space for renewal.

Why Keening, Screaming, and Vocal Release Matter

In times when we are expected to “hold it together,” especially as women, keening and other forms of vocal expression are more important than ever. These practices allow us to reclaim our voices, find our own power, and release what is often held deep inside.

Here’s why vocal expressions of grief and rage are so vital:

  • Releasing Suppressed Emotions: We carry unspoken grief, anger, and sorrow within us, often held in our bodies. Keening and screaming offer us a way to let go of what we hold tightly, allowing for emotional and physical cleansing.

  • Reclaiming Female Expression: Keening gives women permission to express sorrow and pain without holding back. In societies where women’s voices have been silenced, this is an act of reclaiming autonomy and power over our experiences.

  • Community Healing: Traditionally, women keened together, creating a shared space where each person’s grief could be held and witnessed. This communal mourning strengthened bonds and allowed healing to occur on a collective level.

  • Releasing the Nervous System: Keening and other forms of vocal release help regulate the nervous system, relieving stress and trauma stored in the body.

“Shattered” – A Gathering for Release and Transformation

Inspired by this powerful tradition, we’re hosting “Shattered” on Friday, December 13th, at 7 pm. This event offers a safe, sacred space to honor our own emotions and embrace the power of release together. Much like the keening of the banshee, it is a call to let go and to honor both grief and transformation.

During “Shattered,” we will:

  • Gather in a supportive circle, creating space for each person’s unique journey and emotions.

  • Use somatic movement to reconnect with the body and feel into the emotions we carry.

  • Release pent-up grief, rage, or unspoken sorrow through keening and primal screaming, embracing our voices as instruments of healing.

  • Break plates as a symbolic act of shattering old ties and releasing anything that no longer serves us.

As we enter the dark months of winter, we honor the banshee’s cry as a reminder that there is power in vulnerability and renewal in release. Through gathering together, we acknowledge that healing happens when we dare to express, to release, and to hold space for each other’s journeys.

“There is strength in the voice that dares to cry out, healing in the heart that lets go, and renewal in the courage to begin again.”

Samhain Blessings: A Time to Honor and Reflect as the Veil Thins

And as the veil thins, we stand at the edge of worlds, where whispers of ancestors meet the flicker of our candlelight, guiding us to honor the past and embrace the mysteries ahead.

This is the heart of Samhain, a sacred time celebrated for thousands of years, marking the end of the harvest and the gentle shift toward winter. For our ancestors, Samhain was a season of honoring the natural rhythms of life and death, a chance to pause and connect with the unseen.

In Celtic tradition, Samhain was not a time to fear darkness; it was a time to lean into it. Darkness was respected, seen as a space of transformation and wisdom—a place where we can rest and reset. The ancient Celts understood that life’s shadows carry powerful gifts, and Samhain’s rich myths reflect this understanding. One of the most meaningful tales of the season is that of the Morrígan and the Dagda.

The Legend of the Morrígan and the Dagda

According to Irish mythology, Samhain was a time when gods and goddesses walked among mortals, bridging the gap between worlds. On the eve of Samhain, the Morrígan—a goddess of fate, transformation, and prophecy—would meet with the Dagda, a god of strength and protection, by the river Unshin. Together, they would unite in a sacred dance of life and death, their energies merging in a way that balanced light with dark, creation with transformation.

The Morrígan could see the fates of those around her, guiding them through times of change and transition. In uniting with the Dagda, she embodied the wisdom of surrender and acceptance, showing us that darkness is not an end but a powerful source of rebirth. Their connection reminds us that life’s greatest transformations happen in the quiet of winter, in the spaces where we allow ourselves to pause, release, and prepare for what’s to come. This legend is a beautiful reminder of Samhain’s message: to honor the past, release what no longer serves, and lean into the mystery ahead.

Embracing Samhain with Sacred Intention

As we enter this season, we, too, can create small rituals that mirror the balance of Samhain. Here are a few ways to honor this time with mindfulness and intention:

  • Light a Candle for Ancestors: Creating a small altar or simply lighting a candle in remembrance allows us to hold space for those who came before, inviting their wisdom to guide us into this new season.

  • Reflection and Intention Setting: Set aside time for journaling. Reflect on what you’ve learned over the past year, and allow yourself to release what you no longer need. Darkness is where seeds begin to take root; let this time prepare you for future growth.

  • Slow Walks in Nature: Nature is our mirror, and taking a mindful walk can be a powerful reminder of life’s cycles. Notice how the earth softens into rest, allowing yourself to match that gentle pace as winter approaches.

Samhain teaches us that the dance between light and dark is sacred and necessary, that both carry their own forms of healing. Embracing this season invites us to honor what has been, trust what is unknown, and set intentions for what will come.

Wishing you a blessed Samhain. May you find peace in the stillness, wisdom in the mystery, and strength in the gentle darkness of this season.

The Illusion of Time Slipping Away

Lately, it feels like we’re all caught in a relentless race against time. Whether we’re balancing work, family, or just trying to keep our heads above water, it’s as though the hours slip through our fingers no matter how hard we try to hold on. This isn’t just about our schedules or the physical demands of our lives—it’s deeper, almost like a collective restlessness.

For so many of us, it’s not just about being “busy.” It’s that sinking feeling of not being able to find the time for the things that make us feel alive, for the quiet moments of stillness that let us breathe. We move through our days on autopilot, always one step ahead of the present, already thinking about the next task, the next deadline, the next thing we need to fix or manage.

It’s so easy to feel trapped in this loop, to feel like we’re failing in some way because we haven’t figured out how to break free. But the truth is, this isn’t about individual failure. There’s something deeper at work—a societal rhythm that keeps us in perpetual motion, disconnected from ourselves, our bodies, and our own sense of time.

The Fight-or-Flight State We Live In

Our bodies, wired for survival, are constantly responding to the pressures we face. We live in a low-grade fight-or-flight mode that’s triggered by everything from our to-do lists to the constant barrage of notifications. This state can be so subtle that we don’t even realize we’re living in it, but it’s there—churning beneath the surface, keeping us in a state of heightened awareness, always bracing for the next thing.

It’s no wonder we feel exhausted, stretched too thin, and emotionally drained. In this state, it’s nearly impossible to find the time—or energy—for the things that truly nourish us, that bring us joy, or that allow us to reconnect with ourselves. Even when we do find a moment of calm, it’s often fleeting, because our nervous systems haven’t had the chance to fully step out of that heightened state.

How to Find Pause in the Rush

So, what do we do? How do we reclaim a sense of calm when the world doesn’t slow down? It starts with recognizing that this isn’t about time management; it’s about nervous system regulation. We can’t create more hours in the day, but we can start to shift our bodies out of the constant fight-or-flight mode and bring ourselves back to a place of calm, even in the midst of a busy life.

Here are a few ways to begin:

  • Micro-Moments of Stillness: If a full day of rest feels impossible, aim for small pockets of pause. It could be sitting in your car for an extra minute before heading inside, closing your eyes and grounding yourself in that moment. These brief moments of stillness may feel insignificant, but they can do wonders for your nervous system.

  • Reclaiming Boundaries: One of the reasons we feel like time slips away is because we’re constantly giving it away—to our phones, to external demands, to the ever-growing list of tasks. Start small by setting boundaries around your time. It could be 10 minutes without your phone in the morning or taking a full lunch break without multitasking. These little boundaries give you permission to reclaim small moments of autonomy.

  • Body Movement to Release Tension: Whether it’s stretching, yoga, or simply moving your body in a way that feels good, physical movement helps release built-up tension from your body. This isn’t about productivity or exercise; it’s about reconnecting to your body and letting it release what it’s holding.

  • Mindful Transitions: We tend to jump from task to task without pause, but creating space between activities—even if it’s just a 30-second pause to breathe and recalibrate—can help. These mindful transitions allow your nervous system to reset, even briefly, before diving into the next thing.

You Deserve These Moments

It’s important to remember that finding time for yourself isn’t selfish, and it isn’t a luxury reserved for people with lighter schedules. It’s a necessity. The world will always demand something from you, but you are allowed to take up space in your own life. You are allowed to reclaim moments of calm and stillness, no matter how small they might seem.

There will always be more to do, but there will never be another “you” to care for. So, in the midst of all the chaos, choose yourself in whatever small ways you can. Slowly, those small moments will add up, and your body will remember what it feels like to be still, to be present, to feel like time belongs to you again.

Mabon: The Balance of Light and Dark

As the days grow shorter and the air takes on that first crisp bite of autumn, we find ourselves at the turning of the wheel once again. Mabon, the autumnal equinox, marks a moment of perfect balance—day and night in equal measure—before the scales begin to tip, ushering in the longer nights of winter. It is a time of transition, reflection, and gratitude, as we acknowledge the harvest both around us and within us.

Mabon is a celebration of abundance and the fruits of our labor. But it’s also more than just a time to give thanks for the physical harvest. Mabon invites us to pause and take stock of what we’ve sown and reaped in our lives over the past year. The seeds we planted in the spring—whether actual crops, personal goals, or relationships—have grown and come to fruition. Now is the time to gather them, to acknowledge what has flourished and what has withered, and to reflect on the cycles of growth and release that mirror the natural world.

This balance of light and dark also extends beyond the literal sense. Mabon encourages us to embrace both the joyful and the challenging aspects of life. Just as the earth must prepare for the quiet dormancy of winter, we, too, must prepare for the inner work that colder, darker months often bring. It’s a reminder that even as we celebrate abundance, there is value in the quiet, reflective periods that follow.

Many Mabon traditions center around gratitude. Just as our ancestors gave thanks for the harvest that would sustain them through winter, we, too, can practice gratitude for the people, experiences, and growth that have shaped our year. This is a wonderful time to create rituals of reflection—whether through journaling, meditation, or simply taking a walk in nature, allowing the shifting season to guide our thoughts toward balance and harmony.

One of my favorite ways to celebrate Mabon is by creating a centerpiece filled with autumnal symbols: apples, pumpkins, grains, and fallen leaves. These items not only represent the harvest but also the beauty in change. The vibrant colors of autumn are a reminder that transformation, even as we move toward the darker half of the year, can be breathtakingly beautiful.

As we approach the equinox, we are reminded of the impermanence of all things—the fleeting nature of summer, the inevitable shift into autumn, and the cycles that govern both nature and our own lives. Mabon asks us to honor the balance we experience today while preparing for the introspective journey ahead.

Take this moment to reflect on your own harvest. What have you cultivated this year? What can you celebrate, and what do you need to release as you move forward into the darker months? Just as the trees shed their leaves, we are invited to let go of what no longer serves us, making space for new growth when the light returns.

Mabon is a time to celebrate abundance, to give thanks for what we have, and to acknowledge the balance of life—the light and the dark, the joy and the sorrow. It is a time to gather around the hearth, whether physically or metaphorically, and honor the cycles of the earth and our own inner journeys.

As we stand at this moment of balance, may we find gratitude not only for the harvest but also for the quieter times ahead. For in that stillness, the seeds of our future dreams and intentions lie dormant, waiting for their time to bloom once again.

Full Moon in Pisces: A Time of Surrender, Intuition, and Deep Emotional Healing

As the Full Moon illuminates the night sky in the dreamy and mystical sign of Pisces, the energy around us shifts into a state of deep reflection, release, and surrender. Pisces, ruled by the ethereal Neptune, carries with it the wisdom of the unseen, the collective subconscious, and the boundless depths of our emotions. This full moon is not just about letting go—it’s about diving into the ocean of our inner world, trusting our intuition, and allowing the healing currents of the universe to wash over us.

Surrender to the Flow

The energy of Pisces is fluid, flowing like water, asking us to release control and surrender to the natural rhythms of life. This can be challenging in a world that often pushes us to stay in control, keep moving forward, and cling to structure. But under the light of this Full Moon, we are invited to soften our grip, let go of resistance, and trust the flow of the universe.

Surrendering doesn’t mean giving up—it means allowing. It’s a process of leaning into the unknown, trusting that everything is unfolding as it should, even if we can’t see the full picture yet. Pisces reminds us that there are forces at work beneath the surface, guiding us toward our highest path, even when the waters feel murky. This is a time to release the need to know everything and instead trust in the greater cosmic plan.

Heightened Intuition and Psychic Awareness

One of the most powerful gifts of the Pisces Full Moon is its ability to heighten our intuition and psychic awareness. Pisces is deeply connected to the realms of spirit, dreams, and the subconscious, and under this lunar light, the veil between the seen and unseen worlds becomes thin. You may find your intuition speaking louder than usual—through dreams, signs, or gut feelings. This is a potent time to listen closely to those inner whispers and honor the messages that come through.

Meditation, journaling, and quiet reflection are especially powerful during this Full Moon. These practices can help you tap into the deep well of wisdom that resides within your subconscious mind. Allow yourself to drift into the dreamlike energy of Pisces, where logic takes a back seat and your intuitive knowing becomes your guide.

Emotional Healing and Release

Full Moons are always a time of culmination and release, but in the watery sign of Pisces, the focus is on emotional healing. Pisces is deeply empathetic and sensitive, often carrying the weight of unexpressed emotions and unhealed wounds. This Full Moon invites you to confront those hidden feelings, to allow them to rise to the surface so they can be acknowledged and released.

If you’ve been suppressing emotions, especially those related to past hurts, traumas, or unfulfilled dreams, this is the time to let them go. Cry if you need to, write about your feelings, or simply sit in stillness and allow the emotions to flow through you. Healing doesn’t always come through action—it often comes through presence, through the simple act of being with what is, without trying to change or fix it.

Pisces teaches us that healing is a process, not a destination. It’s about making space for our emotions, embracing them without judgment, and trusting that in doing so, we are freeing ourselves from the weight they carry.

Boundaries and Compassion

While Pisces energy is deeply compassionate and connected to the collective, it also teaches us about the importance of boundaries. This Full Moon may shine a light on where we’ve been too porous with our energy, taking on the emotions or burdens of others at the expense of our own well-being. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the intensity of emotions—both our own and those around us—so use this time to create healthy boundaries.

Boundaries are not walls; they are a form of self-compassion, allowing us to maintain our energetic integrity while still offering love and care to those around us. As you navigate the emotional waters of this Full Moon, ask yourself where you need to protect your energy and how you can show up for yourself with the same compassion you offer others.

A Ritual for Release and Intuition

This Full Moon in Pisces is the perfect time for a ritual that embraces both release and intuitive connection. Here’s a simple ritual you can do to harness the energy of this lunar phase:

  1. Create a Sacred Space: Find a quiet, comfortable place where you can be undisturbed. Light a candle and set out any crystals, incense, or other objects that make you feel connected to your spiritual practice. Amethyst, selenite, and moonstone are especially powerful under a Pisces Full Moon.

  2. Set an Intention for Release: Take a few deep breaths, centering yourself in the present moment. As you breathe, reflect on anything you’ve been holding onto emotionally—fears, regrets, unhealed wounds. Write these down on a piece of paper, and as you do, set the intention to release them fully.

  3. Connect with Your Intuition: Once you’ve written down what you wish to release, close your eyes and enter a meditative state. Focus on your breath, and imagine yourself diving deep into the ocean of your inner world. Allow any images, feelings, or intuitive messages to come through. Trust whatever arises, even if it doesn’t make logical sense.

  4. Release and Burn: When you’re ready, take the piece of paper you wrote on and burn it in a fire-safe bowl. As the paper turns to ash, feel the weight of what you’re releasing lift off your shoulders. You may wish to speak an affirmation like, “I release what no longer serves me. I trust in the flow of the universe.”

  5. Close with Gratitude: Before ending your ritual, take a moment to express gratitude for the wisdom and guidance that has come through. Blow out your candle, and know that you have made space for new beginnings and deeper intuitive insights.

Moving Forward with Compassion and Trust

As the Pisces Full Moon wanes and its light fades, allow yourself to move forward with a sense of peace and surrender. The work of release, healing, and intuition is not always easy, but it brings us closer to our true selves. Trust that this process is guiding you toward deeper alignment with your soul’s path, and know that you are supported by the universe as you continue your journey.

This Full Moon reminds us that, at our core, we are all connected—through our emotions, through spirit, and through the boundless energy of the universe. Embrace this time of deep reflection, surrender to the flow, and allow yourself to be carried toward your highest good.

How Salt Therapy Has Helped Us Reconnect with Our Bodies and Reduce Stress

At The Salted Pixie, everything we offer is born from our own experiences and practices. We, Tiff and Kait, as the owners of The Salted Pixie, have always believed that healing and wellness should come from a place of genuine belief and personal connection. We never offer modalities that we don’t believe in or practice ourselves because we are on this journey with you. Salt therapy, in particular, has become a cornerstone of our own self-care rituals, helping us reconnect with our bodies and find a sense of calm in the midst of life’s chaos.

Reconnecting with Our Bodies

Life can be relentless. The demands of running a business, balancing personal lives, and staying true to our values can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected from our own bodies. For both of us, salt therapy has been a powerful tool in regaining that connection. Stepping into the salt cave is like entering a different realm—one where the outside world fades away, and we are left with just ourselves, our breath, and the healing properties of salt.

The salt cave provides a space where we can let go of tension and simply be present with our bodies. As we breathe in the therapeutic salt air, we feel it clearing our minds and bringing awareness back to our physical selves. It’s a reminder that our bodies are not just vessels for carrying out daily tasks but are deserving of care, attention, and love.

Reducing Stress

Stress is an inevitable part of life, but how we manage it makes all the difference. Salt therapy has become our sanctuary in times of stress, offering a calm haven where we can release the weight of the world and focus on our well-being. The benefits of salt therapy go beyond physical health; it’s also about mental and emotional rejuvenation.

In the salt cave, surrounded by the soothing glow of salt lamps and the gentle hush of the space, we find our breath slowing, our minds quieting, and our spirits lifting. It’s a time to unplug, unwind, and return to a place of inner peace. This practice has helped us stay grounded, manage stress, and maintain a sense of balance in our lives.

Our Journey with You

We want you to know that we’re on this journey with you. Every service we offer at The Salted Pixie has been tried, tested, and cherished by us. We are not just practitioners; we are fellow travelers on the path to wellness. We believe in the power of the modalities we offer because we’ve experienced their benefits firsthand.

When you come to The Salted Pixie, you’re not just receiving a service; you’re becoming part of a community that values authenticity, connection, and shared experiences. We’re here to support you, not from a place of superiority, but as companions on this healing journey.

So, if you’re feeling stressed, disconnected, or just in need of some time to breathe, we invite you to experience the magic of salt therapy for yourself. We’ll be right there with you, every step of the way.

We hope this post gives you a glimpse into how salt therapy has transformed our lives and why we’re so passionate about sharing it with you. If you’ve had your own experiences with salt therapy, we’d love to hear about them. Share your stories with us in the comments or during your next visit. We’re in this together, and we’re here to help you every step of the way.

Starting the Week with the First Quarter Moon in Scorpio

As we begin the week, we find ourselves in the First Quarter Moon phase in Scorpio. The First Quarter Moon represents a time of action and decision-making. It’s a period where we are challenged to face obstacles and make choices that align with the intentions we set during the New Moon. The energy of this phase is dynamic and demands that we push forward despite any resistance.

In the sign of Scorpio, the First Quarter Moon brings an intense, transformative energy. Scorpio's influence urges us to dive deep into our subconscious, face our fears, and embrace transformation. It’s a time to confront our shadow side, release what no longer serves us, and commit to our personal evolution. This phase in Scorpio can be emotionally charged, but it provides a powerful opportunity for deep inner work and significant growth.

Midweek Transition to the Waxing Gibbous Moon in Sagittarius

By Wednesday, we transition into the Waxing Gibbous Moon in Sagittarius. The Waxing Gibbous phase is a time of refinement and adjustment. The goals we set at the New Moon are becoming clearer, and we need to fine-tune our plans and strategies. This phase encourages us to review, analyze, and make necessary changes to ensure our intentions come to fruition.

With the Moon in Sagittarius, this phase brings a sense of optimism, adventure, and a thirst for knowledge. Sagittarius inspires us to expand our horizons, seek truth, and embrace new experiences. It’s a time to look at the bigger picture, explore different perspectives, and remain open to learning. The Waxing Gibbous Moon in Sagittarius encourages us to stay enthusiastic and keep faith in our journey, even as we make adjustments along the way.

Full Moon in Capricorn: Balancing Home and Ambition

On July 21st, 2024, at 6:17 AM EDT, we will experience a Full Moon when the Sun in Cancer opposes the Moon in Capricorn. This celestial event is a powerful time of culmination, a moment when the seeds planted during the New Moon reach their potential. Full Moons are often emotional and illuminating, bringing themes of romance, relationships, and personal growth to the forefront.

Understanding the significance of this Full Moon requires exploring the Cancer-Capricorn polarity, which balances our private and public lives. Cancer, the sign of home and nurturing, emphasizes valuing our roots and personal connections, while Capricorn, representing career and responsibility, pushes us to achieve and meet expectations.

This polarity involves balancing unconditional love (Cancer) and conditional love (Capricorn). Cancer highlights the importance of home and dependency, while Capricorn stresses maturity and accountability. The challenge is to harmonize these energies, recognizing the need for both a stable home and success.

The Full Moon illuminates the conflict between our roots and direction in life, bringing powerful new feelings and revelations. It's a time to speak our truths and release pent-up emotions, though these expressions may be raw and not fully rational.

Astrologically, this Full Moon connects with Pluto, Neptune, Mars, and Uranus, providing a supportive backdrop. Pluto brings depth and transformation, Neptune offers spiritual insight, Mars adds determination and drive, and Uranus brings innovation and opportunities. Together, these energies create a fertile and ambitious period for realizing our dreams.

Occurring at the final degree of Capricorn, this Full Moon carries a sense of urgency. Unlike last month's Full Moon in Capricorn, which may have felt naive and unformed, this lunation brings mature, well-rounded realizations. We might find decisive revelations or final words on matters that have been developing for some time.

During this powerful moon phase, I've been called to examine my relationship with maternal figures and nurturing energy in my life. This includes themes of receiving, healing, and rest, as well as truly feeling and understanding my emotions. At the same time, I've been reflecting on my sense of responsibility and ambition, and how these elements intertwine.

Do you struggle with feelings of worthiness, believing you must work harder to deserve love and rest? Or does your ambition keep you too busy to connect with your emotions, to rest and heal? This Full Moon invites us to explore these questions deeply, to find a balance between our personal needs and our aspirations.

Moon Monday: Embracing the Cancer New Moon

Welcome to another Moon Monday, Pixies! Today, we delve into the Cancer New Moon arriving on July 5th, 2024, a moment that marks not just a new lunar cycle but an extraordinary alignment with the Sirius Gateway.

The Balsamic Moon: A Time for Reflection

As we begin this week, we are under the influence of the Balsamic Moon, a phase that represents reflection, rest, and closure. In the sign of Taurus, this energy encourages us to ground ourselves and seek stability. Taurus, an earth sign, invites us to reconnect with the physical world, appreciate nature's beauty, and find comfort in simple pleasures. This is a time to slow down, reflect on the past lunar cycle, and prepare for new beginnings.

The Balsamic Moon in Gemini

As the Moon transitions from Taurus into Gemini, the energy shifts, inviting us to engage in more communication and intellectual pursuits. A Balsamic Moon in Gemini is a time to reflect on our thoughts, ideas, and how we communicate. Gemini, an air sign, enhances our curiosity and desire for information, making it an ideal time to review and reassess the knowledge we've gathered over the past lunar cycle.

This phase encourages us to have meaningful conversations, journal our thoughts, and meditate on the messages we receive. It’s a perfect time to clear mental clutter and prepare our minds for the fresh start that the New Moon in Cancer will bring. Embrace the Gemini energy by exploring different perspectives and allowing your mind to wander, making connections that may have previously eluded you.

The Power of the Sirius Gateway

Sirius, known as our Spiritual Sun, has been revered by people across the globe. This alignment, where Sirius joins the Sun, is a time for deep spiritual connection. The convergence of the Cancer New Moon and the Sirius Gateway creates a rare celestial trifecta: the Sun, Sirius, and the Moon. This powerful alignment activates a potent period for healing, restoration, and regeneration, with energies peaking on July 5th but lingering for several days before and after.

Connecting with Source and Universal Oneness

This high vibrational energy fosters a profound connection our greater purpose. You might feel your spirit energy soaring, finding new pieces of your soul that seemed lost or forgotten. It’s an invitation to seek joy, approach life with optimism, and lead with love and compassion.

Sirius’s influence also brings a frequency of higher intelligence, sparking unique ideas and innovative thinking. Coupled with the fresh energy of the New Moon, this could be a time of new inspirations and pathways, igniting excitement and hope for the future.

Heart-Centered Energies of the Cancer New Moon

The Cancer New Moon is a time to amplify heart energy, connecting deeply with compassion, love, and forgiveness. You might notice your heart softening, making it easier to understand your true feelings. This period can heighten sensitivity, so be mindful of absorbing emotions that aren’t yours and avoid being overwhelmed.

Increased sensitivity can also enhance your awareness of what your heart is communicating. Our feelings often serve as a compass, though deciphering their messages can be challenging. Under the influence of the Cancer New Moon and Sirius, you might find clarity, cutting through past triggers and anxieties to uncover the true essence of your emotions.

Venus’s Role in Heart-Centered Awareness

Venus, the planet of love and relationships, plays a significant role under this New Moon, amplifying heart-centered energies. Relationships may come into focus, revealing new layers of awareness about our hearts. New Moons are times of new opportunities, perfect for setting intentions. Consider what you wish to create and bring closer to your heart.

With the heightened manifestation abilities brought by the Sirius Gateway, now is a powerful time to communicate your desires to the Universe. Think about your future aspirations and let the Universe assist in bringing them to fruition.

The Broader Astrological Context of July 2024

July 2024 is a month of significant astrological events, emphasizing change and transformation. Neptune and Saturn retrograde in Pisces invite introspection and a reevaluation of our spiritual values. As Mercury, Venus, and the Sun transition from Cancer to Leo, we’re encouraged to leave our comfort zones, embrace creativity, and engage fully with life.

The Cancer New Moon, followed by a Full Moon in Capricorn conjunct Pluto, offers profound insights into our emotional and psychological landscapes, presenting opportunities for radical transformation.

What to Expect During & After Your Salt Session

If you're here for a salt therapy session, get ready for a truly rejuvenating experience. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit:

Before Your Session

  • What to Wear: Comfort is key! We want you to be able to relax during your session, and we promise the salt will brush or wash off of anything you wear! Socks are optional but can keep your feet warm. We also provide blankets and pillows for your comfort.

  • Session Length: Our private and community salt sessions last 45 minutes, giving you ample time to relax and enjoy the benefits.

During Your Session

One of our pixies will guide you through our magical hallway adorned with flowers before you enter our salt cave sanctuary. Inside, the walls and floors are covered with salt, creating a grounded and safe atmosphere. You'll find a variety of seating options including hammock swings, zero gravity recliners, or cozy pillows and blankets. The halogenerator grinds and disperses pharmaceutical-grade salt into the air, allowing you to breathe in microscopic, airway-clearing, and skin-soothing salt particles. The cave is cooler and temperature-controlled to stabilize the salt particles and maintain a hygienic, comfortable environment. This is your “you time,” so feel free to read, meditate, nap, or listen to music with headphones as you unwind. You might experience a slight tickle in your throat or cough, but this is normal and just means the salt is doing its job.

After Your Session

Many people experience immediate benefits from a salt therapy session, such as sinus drainage either right away or a few hours later. Improved, deeper sleep is another common benefit reported by our guests. Consistent sessions can help you maintain a state of relaxation and enjoy various long-term health benefits, including indirectly helping in the absorption of essential minerals like calcium, iron, and potassium, enhanced immune system support, breakdown of mucus and reduced inflammation, and soothing of skin conditions like eczema and acne.

Consistency is Key

While you may feel some relief after just one session, the best results come with consistency. Regular salt therapy sessions can help you maintain overall wellness, respiratory health, and skin condition management.

Ready to dive into the magic? We look forward to seeing you soon at The Salted Pixie!

Celebrating Litha: Embracing the Summer Solstice with Joy and Intuition

As the wheel of the year turns, we find ourselves at Litha, the Summer Solstice. This magical time, when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, offers us a moment to pause, celebrate, and connect with the vibrant energy of life in full bloom. Litha, also known as Midsummer, is a celebration of light, abundance, and the peak of the sun's power. It's a time to honor the earth's bountiful gifts and embrace the warmth and vitality that surrounds us.

Litha has ancient roots, with origins in various cultures that have celebrated the power and energy of the sun. In ancient times, people observed the solstice with great reverence, recognizing it as a time when the sun god reached his fullest power. The Celts celebrated this day as a fire festival, lighting bonfires on hilltops to honor the sun and ensure a bountiful harvest. Similarly, the Norse people celebrated Midsummer with feasting and rituals to honor their deities and nature spirits.

Litha is also closely connected to the faeries, who are believed to be particularly active and powerful during this time. According to folklore, the veil between our world and the faerie realm is thinnest at Midsummer, making it a time when faeries can more easily interact with humans. It is said that leaving offerings of milk, honey, or bread in your garden can invite faeries to bless your home and bring good fortune.

There are countless ways to celebrate Litha, each one offering a unique opportunity to connect with nature, your inner self, and the community. Here are some intuitive and empowering ways to honor this magical time:

1. Create a Sun Altar

Set up an altar dedicated to the sun and its life-giving energy. Use sunflowers, marigolds, yellow and orange candles, and crystals like citrine and carnelian. Add symbols of the sun, such as sun wheels or solar images, to celebrate the light and warmth of Litha.

2. Spend Time in Nature

Litha is the perfect time to immerse yourself in nature. Go for a hike, visit a beach, or simply sit in a garden. Feel the sun's warmth on your skin, listen to the sounds of nature, and allow yourself to be fully present in the moment. This connection to the earth helps ground and empower you.

3. Host a Bonfire

Fire is a powerful symbol of transformation and energy. Gather with friends and family around a bonfire to celebrate Litha. Share stories, sing songs, and perhaps even perform a ritual of releasing what no longer serves you. Write down your burdens or negative thoughts on pieces of paper and throw them into the fire, watching them transform into ash.

4. Perform a Solstice Meditation

Find a quiet space and meditate on the energy of the solstice. Visualize the sun's light filling your body, bringing warmth, healing, and empowerment. Focus on your intentions for the coming months and imagine them growing and flourishing under the sun's nurturing rays.

5. Celebrate with Seasonal Foods

Prepare a feast using seasonal fruits and vegetables. Berries, cherries, honey, fresh herbs, and garden vegetables are all wonderful choices for a Litha celebration. Share this meal with loved ones, giving thanks for the earth's abundance.

6. Create Sun Water

Place a bowl of water outside in the sunlight, allowing it to absorb the sun's energy. Use this sun water to cleanse your space, bless yourself, or water your plants. This practice helps infuse your life with the sun's powerful and revitalizing energy.

7. Honor the Faeries

Since Litha is closely connected with the faerie realm, take a moment to honor these mystical beings. Create a small faerie altar in your garden with offerings of milk, honey, or bread. Spend time in your garden, listening to the whispers of the wind and feeling the magic of nature.

8. Practice Gratitude and Reflection

Take time to reflect on the first half of the year. Celebrate your accomplishments, acknowledge your growth, and express gratitude for the blessings in your life. Write these reflections in a journal, and set new intentions for the months ahead.

Litha is a celebration of life at its fullest, a time to honor the sun's power and the abundance of the earth. By embracing the energy of Litha, we connect with our own inner light and the natural rhythms of the world around us. This is a time for joy, empowerment, and deep connection to the earth and ourselves.

As you celebrate Litha, remember to listen to your intuition and honor what feels right for you. This magical time is about embracing the fullness of life and the warmth of the sun, empowering yourself to shine brightly in all that you do.

May your Litha be filled with light, joy, and abundant blessings. 🌞✨

Moon Mondays 6/17/2024

The energies around us seem to be urging us to confront our shadows and embrace healing. It can feel unsettling, but there's a profound invitation here to align with our true selves and find balance. As we navigate the dual Full Moons in Capricorn this year, we are given a unique opportunity to ground ourselves and redefine our life's work.

Embracing the Full Moons in Capricorn

This year, the sky is little more magical with two Full Moons in Capricorn, each bringing its own unique energy and potential for release. The first occurs on June 21, 2024, right after the Sun enters Cancer, and the second will take place at the end of Cancer season. While both Full Moons are influenced by Capricorn's steadfast energy, their proximity to other planets and signs will color each with distinct nuances.

The Steadfast Goat: Capricorn's Energy

Capricorn, the steadfast goat of the zodiac, lends us focus, motivation, and self-discipline. It helps us create routines, structures, and boundaries, providing a container for the ocean of feelings stirred by Cancer. Traditionally associated with work, career, and reputation, Capricorn's energy extends beyond these areas, encompassing our life's work—whatever form that might take.

Defining Your Life's Work

Your life's work is a reflection of your soul's purpose. It may manifest in your job, hobbies, relationships, or personal practices. During this Full Moon, take time to explore the different types of work in your life and align with what embodies your true purpose. Capricorn's challenge is to show up in the world standing firmly in your truth, consistently interacting in ways that match your core ideals and beliefs.

Balancing Capricorn and Cancer Energies

Capricorn and Cancer sit opposite each other on the zodiac wheel, embodying opposite approaches to similar themes. While Capricorn teaches us to be responsible to others, Cancer reminds us to prioritize self-care. This Full Moon invites us to find a balance between these responsibilities, understanding that caring for ourselves enables us to give authentically to the world.

Shedding Shadows: Releasing Lower Vibrations

The lower vibrations of Capricorn can lead us to view success as a status symbol, prioritizing money and power over genuine fulfillment. Similarly, Cancer's shadow side manifests as neediness and people-pleasing, neglecting our own needs for the sake of others. By releasing these shadows, we can become fully present with ourselves, connecting deeply with our true purpose.

Embracing Productive Self-Care

Capricorn redefines productivity, highlighting the importance of self-care as a means to move forward in life with ease. Taking care of your emotions and practicing self-care allows you to approach your tasks from a place of restoration rather than depletion. This Full Moon encourages you to prioritize yourself, knowing that everything else in your life will benefit when you are replenished.

Reflecting and Setting Intentions

Use this Full Moon to revisit the intentions set during the New Moon in Capricorn. Reflect on the practices and disciplines that have supported you and consider what commitments need to shift. Release anything that distracts you from your true purpose and make new commitments that align with who you are now.

Navigating Neptune's Influence

With a prominent square to Neptune in Pisces, this Full Moon encourages us to critically evaluate our dreams. Some dreams serve as catalysts, helping us grow toward our potential. Reflect on whether it's time to release certain dreams to make space for new ones that better align with your evolving purpose.

Your Invitation to Heal and Grow

As the Full Moon ushers in the new astrological season, it's a time for new beginnings. Tune into the emerging aspects of your life and consider what you need to let go of to embrace new opportunities. Listen to your emotions—they offer clues to what is most important to you. Use this Full Moon to balance Capricorn and Cancer energies, taking care of yourself to benefit the world around you.

Conclusion: Finding Home Within Yourself

The Capricorn Full Moon invites us to find balance, prioritize self-care, and align with our true purpose. By committing to practices that nurture our emotions and understanding ourselves deeply, we can show up authentically in every situation, leading with integrity and finding our way home within ourselves.
